This student was high performing on this assignment because they had met all aspects of criteria stated in the rubric. Although the student did not provide an in depth explanation as to how we had used a slinky as a model, the student conveyed to me that they completely understood this during the lab itself. During the lab I had walked around and asked students questions regarding their experiment, specifically asking them what certain results meant. They also provided a good explanation of what they concluded from their experiment, specifically explaining how they observed which wave was more destructive. Lastly, the student included quantitative data in their explanation as evidence to support their answer which was an important aspect in this assignment.
